Lahore, Pakistan – October 16, 2024- The K2Gamer LUMS Cup 2024 featuring the keen collaboration between Gamer Pakistan Inc. and K2Gamer Pakistan, ended on October 15, following a two-day tournament at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Both EA FC 24 and TEKKEN 8 events were a success with 300 plus participants and a total footfall of over 700 spectators.
The energy was palpable as students, gaming enthusiasts, and spectators gathered to witness intense competitions across three categories: EA FC 24 Singles, EA FC 24 Doubles, and TEKKEN 8 singles. The LUMS Cup featured 150+ singles participants in EA FC 24, 100+ in TEKKEN 8, and 64 teams in EA FC 24 doubles which made the event one of the most awaited gaming events of the year.

K2Gamer LUMS Cup 2024 would not have been as successful as it was, if not for the support of the E-Gaming Society at LUMS and the K2Gamer Pakistan team. Leading the efforts were:
Day 1 kicked off with a 6:00 PM opening ceremony, followed by the FIFA and Tekken tournaments, which ran from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Competitors, visitors, and spectators enjoyed the electric atmosphere, with food stalls, vendor engagement, and live shoutouts keeping the crowd energized throughout the day.
On Day 2, the semi-finals and finals of EA FC 24 and TEKKEN 8 saw intense matchups from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM, culminating in a prize distribution ceremony where the winners were honored by K2Gamer representatives.
CEO of K2Gamer Pakistan, Mr. M. Jamal Qureshi, remarked:
“It was a great success, and more than that – a memorable experience for K2Gamer LUMS Cup participants as well as for each member of LUMS. We feel privileged to be able to invest in and help develop the talent that we see in Pakistan’s gaming industry. They said this event proved there is passion, skill, and talent here, and as they keep pushing to grow esports in the region, they ‘look forward to what is to come.”
It was not a mere gaming event; E-Gaming at LUMS partnered with the Riayat LUMS Chapter to create the following stalls for Fempreneur Fest on Day 1 for students and vendors to exhibit. There was also a female-only casual gaming area for women created on both days to encourage women to engage in gaming comfortably.
On the second day, the students of LUMS associated with music through The Music Society of LUMS which provided participants and observers with beautiful live performances of popular and HIT songs from all around the world.
It was not limited to LUMS students as Esports Pakistan Official with the support of GameStop Pakistan and K2Gamer Pakistan shared the social media coverage of over 70k+ followers. The highlights from the final matches and prize ceremony received widespread acclaim and fanfare from the Pakistani gaming community, helping cement the K2Gamer LUMS Cup as a key milestone in local esports.
Players as well as fans took their time to celebrate the K2Gamer LUMS Cup 2024 by acknowledging the event’s high level of organization and energy. A large number of respondents described the need for holding more extensive gaming events on campus, keeping in mind K2Gamer as a major contributor to the success of this event.
